Hello I was recently told after trying to concieve for 6 months that the lining in my uterus is too thin. The docotr said it is 0.5cm and it needs to be at least 1cm. As soon as I get my period (which has been taking forever) I will go on estrogen and progesterone and start cycle monitoring.
Anyone else with the same situation? I am very scared that this is not going to end quickly or happy. Everytime I go to the doctors I recieve bad news I can't take anymore.
A little history I had 3 miscarriages in one year. the first I took Metaprstol (not sure of the spelling) because I was scarred to have my uterus scrapped. the next two I gave in to a D&C. And of course I then got Ashermans Syndrome. I had surgery in September of 2010, the doct said no scarring returned but after six months still not pregnant. Now it is becasue of my lining.
Help!

Permalink Reply by Leanne Hester on June 6, 2011 at 7:55am Thanks so much Marni. It is so nice to talk to people that understand all the BS. And it is also nice to hear positive feed back. Sometimes I get so wrapped around the negative I drive myself crazy. I'm sure you know what I am talking about.
Thanks so much
Have a great day.

Permalink Reply by Kari Perin on June 25, 2011 at 11:43am Good luck Leanne. I had a friend just get pregnant with 4mm lining. She started taking estrace at CD10 until AF through her cycles until she got her BFP, which was a month later :) so there is hope with think lining. I hope the estrogen works for you.
PS, I never had 1cm lining. Always 7mm at the most, so that thickness is a bit excessive. You can do it with less for sure.

Thank you so much for your positive attitude, i can definitly use all I can get right now. We had been trying for 6months and because the lining was only.5cm (not sure what that is in mm) I was not getting pregnant. I was sure something was wrong before we get pregnant so quickly (then I miscarried).
What is CD10 (cycle day 10) and AF and BFP?
Thanks you so much you made my day.

Hi Leanne,
I am also in the same situation as you... I miscarried last year in the 8th week and was given medicine to miscarry but later we went to a RE to see why I miscarried he ordered HSG and found scarring in the uterus which he removed via hysteroscopy but it returned and had another one and was given the all clear. While trying for IUI the lining never grew beyond 5mm so he gave up hope on me. I dropped him and got a second opinion; the second doctor ordered another hysteroscopy and found scarring again on the fundus(where the embryo implants); I am scarred to go for another surgery so trying alternative methods. I am currently trying out Mayan Abdominal Massage(Arvigo Technique) to see how much it helps. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for replying. I am so sorry to here this happened to you. I am worried that if I do get pregnant that it will only end in a miscarriage. Did you have any spotting or cramping?
