My web site and making women aware of AS.

My blog is on my web site called

My Ashermans Syndrome Story.

I am so happy to have found this web site.  Marni I had the same vision as you and started my web site to bring women together with their stories and to help eachother.  I also feel it is so important to make all women aware of AS.  I know for myself if I was told I could get AS from my D&C's I would not have done them.  With my first miscarriage I was scared of having a D&C so I chose not to and…

IVF: Day 3 or Blastocyst transfer?

I've been hearing a lot about the benefits of waiting until the embryo becomes a blastocyst before transferring during the IVF process. What are your thoughts/experiences? Discuss here: http://bridgetobaby.com/forum/topics/ivf-day-3-or-blastocyst

Here is an article from Attain Fertility that addresses this question:…

We all know that dealing with infertility is sad and stressful. Not only do you feel that your dreams of having a baby are not coming true but  it can also take a toll on your bank account and personally and professional relationships.

Two degrees of separation to my interview with Nicole Kidman

How cool would it be to get an interview from the very glamorous Nicole Kidman?! Well last night is the closest I'll ever get to an opportunity.

Nicole has been through it all when it comes to creating a family. She's had miscarriages, when married to Tom Cruise and adopted two children with him. She finally got to carry her own child, Sunday Rose and just recently, she and Keith Urban became parents second time parents to…

Food for thought for fertility

Trying for a baby can be, well trying. It can get depressing and become very easy to slack off on a proper diet for both fertility and a healthy life style. Here are a few things to remember when trying to conceive:

  1. Eat more whole grains.
  2. Eat lots of proteins (soy beans, nuts)
  3. MOOve over skim milk. Consuming some full-fat diary products can help with ovulation!
  4. Graze. Lots of fruits and veggies
  5. Some fats are ok. The good ones such as the ones…

Get off the phone!

I am constantly telling this to my DH, (darling husband) as they are known in the internet world. I can think of a lot of D words that are more fitting than "darling".  Especially in this case.

I'm doing my normal morning research on infertility on the web and stumble upon an article which states that cellphone use decreases sperm quality. Not only does my DH talk non-stop but when he is driving, but guess where his favorite place is to store his phone in the car? His crotch!…

Male Athletes Abusing Clomid to Enhance Performance

Did you ever imagine the fertility drug Clomid, or Clomiphene which is used to stimulate ovulation, would actually be used as a performance enhancing drug? Well an Indians minor league player, John Drennen, just got suspended for 50 games since found using the ovulation drug which can stimulate testosterone production in male and thus enhance athletic ability.

Deliver Me

I was pretty obsessed with this show. You got to see conception and pregnancy and loss in real life from not only the patient's perspective but also the practitioner.

Three doctors, Dr. Yvonne Bohn, Dr.Allison Hill, and Dr. Alane Park, working together in their Los Angeles OBGYN practice. One was dealing wit… Continue

Size does matter!

It's not the size of the ship...well when it has to do with male fertility IT IS!

SIZE DOES MATTER!

HealthDay.com reported that men with shorter crotch length and penis length were more infertile than their longer competition. This slight problem, no pun intended, is measured by analyzing the "anogenital distance" of a man. Get ready for this:  "the gap between his scrotum and anus". This measurement is a great, non invasive way of… Continue

Staying organized while trying to conceive

We recently chatted with professional organizer and life stylist, Rachel Strisik. She is not only an expert when it comes to staying organized during our busy lives but she is also the mother of identical twin girls born in January of 2008. We thought it would be great to ask Rachel a few questions about how to stay organized when it comes to dealing with…

No link between stress and IVF success!

Cardiff University and the University of Thessaloniki in Greece evaluated 14 different studies with a total of 3,500 women going through fertility treatments and found no link between levels of stress and the success of their fertility outcomes.

This doesn't mean you should stop your yoga or acupuncture. A positive mental state and good health can make it easier to get through these rough times and reduce…

Celebrate Mama...Exclude the Infertile

This was a local event in my town. Lots of mommies and kids browsing booth to booth containing mommy pampering products and ending the street with a live Kidville Maestros performance. Lots of growing bellies as well.  I can only imagine what the average "trying to conceiver" would feel like walking down this gated off street in this Parisian-like town. (Yes I said Parisian.)

It made me feel even more like I was on the tight rope balancing on that fine line between being a…

Confused

So I am a GS and I started talking to an IM things were going ok EXCEPT she is extreamly busy barely ever has time to chat. Then I found out my insurance wont work because they knew I had a tubial so they definately wouldn't cover pregnancy. When I told the IM she stopped talking to me Marked me as spam on yahoo and never responded to my email. I get its hard but to just ignore me isn't a way to work things out. Is this common when things don't seem to work they just frezze you out???
