Exploring the World of Fertility Travel with Global IVF

Global IVF's founders, Kathryn and Lauri

You may have seen Global IVF while on Bridge To Baby, posting updates about new articles or personal fertility journeys.  You may be wondering what is exactly is Global IVF, and how can it help you? Well, here's a short summary….

Global IVF is a free, informational website designed to help keep you updated on fertility news and traveling for fertility treatments (www.globalivf.com).  Global IVF’s founders understand infertility on a personal level.  Both of our site’s founders, Kathryn Kaycoff-Manos and Lauri Berger de Brito, created their families through surrogacy and egg donation after years of struggling with fertility.  It was through their personal experience that 8 years ago they decided to start a surrogacy agency in Southern California, Agency for Surrogacy Solutions, now a highly respected surrogacy agency worldwide.  Working with people using surrogates, Kathryn and Lauri noticed more and more people were interested in traveling abroad for fertility treatments, but they could not find unbiased resources dedicated to cross border reproductive care.  Thus, Global IVF, Inc. was born.

People travel for fertility treatment for a number of reasons, including greatly reduced costs, shorter waitlists, having family overseas, and more.  Whatever your reason, Global IVF is here to make the journey more successful and less stressful.  Read our informational articles and check out our expert videos to learn more about fertility treatments, including egg donation and surrogacy, and global fertility travel.  Visit our interactive map to read about any countries’ laws and regulations around fertility treatments.  If that country fits your requirements, we also provide a list of fertility clinics located in countries around the globe!  We also have up-to-date news and provide news stories and important fertility information on our constantly updated blog.

Global IVF recently introduced a new page to our site, one that we feel is of special interest to Bridge to Baby’s visitors. JOURNEYS follow intended parents and surrogates as they travel overseas for fertility treatment.  These are people-just like you- who picked up their passport in hopes of making their dreams of parenthood come true!  John and his partner explored their options for surrogacy and egg donation, before choosing to travel to Panama. They recently found out their surrogate in Panama is pregnant, and look forward to visiting her often throughout the journey!  DC JOURNEYer left her home in Washington, DC to travel to South Africa.  Sadly, her journey in South Africa ended with disappointing news.  She is now back in the States researching options for Frozen Embryo Transfer.  Angel is an American surrogate who is working with international intended parents and recently flew to Belgium for her embryo transfer.  She just shared the wonderful news that she is pregnant, and will be keeping us updated on her surrogacy journey and her blossoming, long-distance relationship with her intended parents.  Angel has been sharing videos with our visitors, in addition to personal pictures and journal entries!

Coming soon to JOURNEYS, a couple decides to research reproductive clinics during a family trip to Bangkok, Thailand.  Follow along as their JOURNEY unfolds.  JOURNEYS are updated often, and we always give a heads-up to our readers on Bridge to Baby when new posts are up live.  If you are thinking about traveling abroad for treatment, these personal stories are a wonderful and honest look into cross border reproductive care!

There are no fees associated with Global IVF.  In addition to exploring our website, we encourage you to sign up with Global IVF in order to receive e-newsletters and updates on fertility care.  If you have any questions about global fertility care, or if you are interested in becoming involved on our site, through sharing your JOURNEY or other contributions, please contact emily@globalivf.com.  We look forward to Bridging with you!
