After the appointment mix-up I was able to reschedule to the following week. I was not happy about how I was treated. It was just a bad day altogether after having to put my dog to sleep.
My husband was with me this time. Once again the doctor is optimistic from the ultrasound he performs before he begins inserting the crazy scope. But of course, his findings are not encouraging. He sees that half of my uterus has rescarred leaving 50% open but still my tubes were not visible.
He tells me that there is a chance he could reopen the other side and that people have had children with half a uterus but there are many risks involved. Placental issues, fetal growth restriction, miscarriage. He suggest that he take me back to surgery under general anesthesia so that he can be more aggressive with cutting and pressure. He also would then put a catheter inside (something he originally was totally opposed to). I'm more confused. He also says I could just stop now and look into adoption.
We decide to think about it.
